Assistant Development Manager, Lendlease Development Europe Ltd.

Responsible for Development Management activities providing support and strategic direction in the delivery a masterplan and plot delivery on this £1 billion scheme to transform the Euston area in central London. In coordination with the Euston station teams, this nationally significant scheme sought to deliver over 500,000sqm of development comprising commercial office, residential, life
science, retail and cultural uses across a 60-acre site. My key responsibilities included strategic planning, governance reporting, stakeholder management and coordination with station teams, design development, monitoring and assessment, as well as:

  • Supported on all planning aspects of this large scale, technically challenging application for mixed use development located above the new HS2 and NR stations at Euston.
  • Managed key consultants, maintaining stakeholder relationships and meeting landowner aspirations.
  • Chaired and managed weekly design team meetings to progress the development of the masterplan - this involved managing a consultant team of 25 different firms requiring a strong understand of each scope of works.
  • Responsible for creating the place vision to create an exciting science and culture destination for London
  • Drove the development of a unique masterplan above the stations (Network Rail & HS2) in Zone 1 London
  • Managed relationships with key stakeholders including two different landowners (NR and DfT), statutory and public consultees
  • Engaged with stakeholders as a front face of Lendlease for the formal community engagement events and pre-application engagements
  • Responsible for the conversion of the Euston regeneration project associated with the delivery of the HS2 station and redevelopment of Network Rail´s station
  • Collaborated with senior level stakeholders across the Euston partnership to drive decision making and advocacy across government, local authority, institutions and community
  • Supported in bringing in capital to deliver the first plots
  • Managed the masterplan design code development, as well as strategy for arts & culture, landscape & public realm, accessibility & mobility, sustainability, meanwhile use, town & country planning, and housing

Assistant Project Manager, Quintain Estates Ltd.
Provided project management and strategy development for community outreach, skills and employment programmes, educational initiatives, diversity and inclusion strategies, and social value strategies (social, environmental, and economic impacts) at Wembley Park. Responsibilities included managing project activities, analysing technical plans, corporate processes, and contributing to project completion. The role involved overseeing projects across RIBA Stages 5, 6, and 7, including project management, contract tendering, reviewing Section 106 agreements, and fulfilling planning requirements. Work was aligned with milestones and deliverables, adhering to quality, safety, and sustainability standards.

  • Created the corporate Social Value & Community Engagement Strategy aimed at providing collaborative practice with an inclusive and accessible programme
  • Produced of the corporate Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Strategy for adoption across all levels of the business
  • Built key relationships with stakeholder groups like Brent Council, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Punchdrunk Enrichment and Second Floor Art studios to deliver community initiatives
  • Collaborated with key partners including but not limited to residents, students, local employers, and employees as well as local groups and charities
  • Cultivated new projects with local groups and businesses to enhance our community engagement offer and curated a network within the area
  • Managed the Social Value £2.5m budget - operations, forecasting spends, actuals and monitor
  • Coordinated with the Wembley events team to promote placemaking, community engagement, support larger scale activities, and volunteer programmes
  • Identified, via a variety of methods (conversations, interactive data capture, surveys and focus groups etc.), the barriers to the local community in engaging with Wembley Park; and to instigate learnings from this research to affect change within the organisation and remove barriers
  • Chaired the Wembley Park Community Fund aimed at delivering community-led projects - managing a £595k pot of funding, and awarded 43 grants with 11k beneficiaries
  • Created of £1.1m in social value through leading and management of the sitewide apprenticeship programme
  • Managed Quintain community investments and charitable contributions, totalling £781k Quintain contributions, and £58k leveraged contractor contributions, supporting 4.5k beneficiaries
